SEND-OFF OF MR. LEATHERMAN TORONTO 2017 TO IML 2017

The Toronto Sisters attended the send-off of Mr. Leatherman Toronto 2017 Randy Spearhead (a.k.a. Toronto SPI Saint Randy of the Many Sashes) to the International Mr. Leather competition in Chicago. The Sisters also blessed the event, and helped with the raffle ticket funraiser.

The Toronto Sisters attended a rally to protest the atrocities towards LGBTQ people in Chechnya, and helped collect donations for Rainbow Railroad. Thanks to Elizabeth Last, Anna Gutmanis, and Mezart Daulet for some of their photos of us at this event.

SISTER WANDA'S ADVENTURES AT CLAW 2017

Sister Wanda Wu Mein travels to Cleveland, Ohio for Cleveland Leather Annual Weekend, where she spreads joy and raise funds with Sisters from across the continent.

FETISH FAMILY FEUD

Hosted by Mr. Leatherman Toronto 2017 Randy Spearhead, Fetish Family Feud had three teams competing- The Hall Monitors, The 4 Tops, and The Toronto Sisters of JOY. Only one team emerged on top to win the competition, and that team was the the Toronto Sisters of JOY. In the end, the true winner of this edition of Fetish Family Feud was Supporting Our Youth (SOY) as all the money raised from this event ($305) went to this innovative community development program for queer, trans and questioning youth.

KINKY JESUS: THE SECOND COMING - TORONTO'S 2ND ANNUAL KINKY JESUS COMPETITION

The Toronto Sisters bring back the outrageous Kinky Jesus competition as part of Central Canada Drummer Weekend 2017. Five contestants battle it out with their kinky interpretation of Jesus Christ, and it was last-minute entry, Bartender Jesus that took the title. Two of the judges were beatified as Saints by the Toronto Sisters for all their good work in the community. Special thanks to Weisses Photography for the photos of this event.

LIFE - LOSS - LIGHT | WE REMEMBER ORLANDO

The Toronto Sisters attended the memorial at the 519 for the Orlando PULSE massacre that occurred a year ago. Prior to the memorial, the Sisters and the office of local Councillor Krystin Wong-Tam hosted the screening of the documentary, "Love the Sinner", which looked at the intersection of religion and homophobia in the wake of the Orlando massacre. During the memorial, the Sisters participated in the lantern lighting ceremony where the victim's names were called out.

PWA HIGH HEEL STRUT

While at VillageFest '17, Sister Wanda participated in the Toronto People With AIDS (PWA) Foundation's High Heel Strut at the last moment, and raised $114 an hour before the contest to meet the minimum requirements to enter. Although she had an unfortunate accident with her Wonder Woman boots during the race, Sister Wanda was a trooper and kept going despite the falls she had near the end.

"Meet Your Neighbours" is an event organized by the Church Wellesley Neighbourhood Association to promote the local community, volunteer, and performing groups in the area. The Toronto Sisters were among the groups that had a booth at this event, and our booth was full of information, sparkle, and joy.

MAPLE LEAF CLASSIC 2017 BOWLING TOURNAMENT

The Toronto Sisters blessed the beginning of the Maple Leaf Classic 2017 Bowling Tournament. All proceeds raised during the tournament went to the Canadian Cancer Society's Get Screened program. which focuses on raising awareness among LGBTQ communities on screening for cancer.

The Toronto Sisters helped the Church-Wellesley BIA in their second annual Pumpkins in the Park where members of the community come to Barbara Hall Park to carve pumpkins for free with all the tools provided,

Sister Wanda participated in the monthly Life Drawing event at Black Eagle Toronto where she posed with sexy models for artists who drew them in action. Part of the proceeds raised from this event went to the Toronto Sisters of J.O.Y.

SPEARHEAD'S 45TH TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE

At Church-Wellesley Village Area

November 25-26, 2017

 

Spearhead Toronto and the Toronto Sisters joined forces to promote and collect toys and money for Spearhead's annual Toys for Toys Drive. The drive raised $1150 in cash for the Toronto's People With AIDS Foundation, and 4 overflowing boxes of stuffed toys for the Red Door Family Shelter.
